Although this website grew out of one particular issue, beyond the closing of firehouses, FDNY is being shortchanged of resources. This website is dedicated to educating the community about the need to keep FDNY (and indeed all Fire Departments strong.

Safety is a right- not a privilege. Remember that on Election Day

I have many people and things to be grateful for in my life- one of them is living through 9/11. Everything that day worked in my favor- had my timing been a minute off I might not be here. My heart breaks for all the victims and I never forget that there but for the grace of G-d go I. I will not lie- I’m in awe of these people who risk their own lives to save others- whether  by charging into a burning building or stepping in the line of fire, the lives of millions of New Yorkers are in their hands. They are not saints or angels- they’re something better- people of compassion.

One thing I know- although I am terrified of what may happen in the future, my trust will always be in them.
